Dr. Seuss is one of the most famous authors of all time. If you asked anyone about him I bet they would know who he was. But how did he become so famous? Maybe by winning two Pea body awards for How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Horton Hears A Who.I personally I think The Cat in the Hat is his most famous book. As he got older he became ill and passed away.
His most famous books are Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat and The Hat, and One Fish TwoFish Red Fish Blue Fish. His two other books Horton Hears a Who and How the Grinch StoleChristmas took the next step to the big screen. If books could go platinum Dr. Seuss would have about 40.
He was accepted to Dartmouth College but then he decided to go to Oxford in England. There was one problem. He could hardly concentrate on Shakespeare when he kept thinking of imaginary, unusual animals. He did not expect to make a living of it but knew he was very good at it.He would fantasize about being a famous author and ended up being more famous than he ever imagined.
Dr. Seuss took the rhyming out of poems and put it into a story line.Though he used nonsense words he also had lots of good vocabulary.Because his books were fun they made kids say “please mom, read one more page!”
